Sales purge

Many key Sales executives have been laid off.
Bob is gone.
Do you think the new organization makes any sense?

You know its bad when Bob gets the hook. That man has had his claws dug in deep at Estero. He knew he was riding a gravy train and he was not going to get off. He had the perfect gig attending events and partying it up. He learned from MF nothing less than 5 Stars is acceptable and he lived it up on the Hertz dime. I guess he did not make the cut for Pauls inner circle. This pretty much wraps things up. Hertz has given up trying to get any business. Time to shut the doors.

Why do you need a sales team if you are planning to slowly wind down?
Business travel is all but gone in 2021. Leisure travel is dead until the summer. It's a tough road ahead and need to cut more costs to survive

The Sales team support here is laughable. What has Bob and the Sales team accomplished? The Sales team has been a joke ever since we were spun from Ford. They should have been in the first wave of people who lost their jobs in April. They had no accountability and finally got what they deserved.

Stone's behavior is irresponsible.
Not that I thought that the company would recover any time soon, but when I think about what just happened, it is without a doubt that I can see its collapse speed up.
A group of great professionals appreciated by the clients have been cut.
Good luck to keep the clients from now on.
Stone, your end is near and you'll be going down the hill, rolling faster and faster...
How does it feel, how does it feel?
To be on your own, with no direction home
A complete unknown, like a rolling stone

Please allow me a minute to vent and excuse the message in advance.

What in the hell just happened? You wiped out the entire sales team because as the CEO you lack vision and strategy so you resort to what you know best, which isn't much, give it all to the same lame a– ops people.

You blame losing State Farm on Bob and the team!!! Get the hell out of here. It was going to happen because we didn't offer them or any other company security or anything else better. What did you do to savage that deal. How many customers have you met with in your 3 years ... right, not many. I can tell you there will be others who are going to flock away.

Now you want to load sales under 3 folks whom have zero sales experience. It tells us all that you don't value the organization at all. Let's run it like a Walmart hotdog stand.

Oh, you want to franchise more and bring back an id–t that everyone hates. Very toxic back then and even more toxic and arrogant now. So you want to follow the Europe model which typically is done for regulatory reasons but I'm sure you don't know that either. This is a very slippery path because as you do more, you become a holding company and not an operating company which further means Hertz will definitely be bought out. Only thing will remain is name which can be used on any rental company website. Not a smart move

Then you send your favorite use car salesman son to Europe to do whatttttttt. He doesn't know how to run a business and barely understand the financials of a company but hell you don't either and now you're the CEO. I guess being close to disney has its advantages.

PEOPLE, wake up and take charge of your career. Do you think it can't happen to you? Ask those who got the boot today. Leslie, Lisa, Eric, Mark M, etc got the hell off that sinking ship.

Say what you want about Kathy but she knew how to run a business, wasn't a puppet for the board and can talk to the investor. The CEO is so lucky he doesn't have to do so or they would have ran sooner.

So C-suite continue filling your pockets on the backs of others. It's sad that only promotions are those that were in the CEO's circle. You don't need experience. Just nod your head and like his football team.

Bob and Sales team. Best of luck. I'm sure it s—s but there is a better life outside of Estero.
