yeah, I remember 2015, they told us a month before about layoffs, October 7th was the day when they came after me, and I was not at my desk, just step out for a coffee and smoke. After I came back, my boss and HR lady came, 7 minutes for a quick chat, envelope and HR lady escorted to the lobby.. I wonder how they do this in 2021 with the staff sitting at home with the company notebooks. Currently I am a contractor here, and they did not extend it to the next year, so the last 2 weeks I am just sending my resumes...so sad to me, employees will have some severance and me just EI.

The 2015 layoffs were immediate, you weren’t even allowed to return to your office to collect your personal belongings. Handed a package and escorted off the premises.

Why should CVE pay the money back? They didn’t take it

Pay back the money?!? Heck no! It's free money, came from the federal gov't don't you know, they've got buckets and buckets of that stuff laying around.

It’s not Cenovus that did this it was Husky. They are making their own decisions until the companies merge.
