So here is a poll. Who here trusts our leadership to do the right thing when it comes to the merging of the two companies? My bet is our mgmt gets beat out by Husky. Their reputation for cutthroat managers is legendary and the corporate culture over there is toxic, ask any employee you know who works at Husky. And our leadership is inept. My bet is Cenovus employees will get thrown under the bus by our mgrs trying to save their own a$$e$.

How do you not understand that HSE had to agree to be taken over because it’s almost privately owned? It is ~69% owned by two companies. It is completely impossible to take over without their agreement.
I trust our and their leadership will be at each other like cats and dogs. And it’s all due to our mgmt acting like this is a merger. Man up and do a CNRL where when you buy a company you act like it and get rid of their mgmt and absorb them like the borg. But our guys are weak and want to be nice and all be friends. Thus pissing off all CVE employees and even most middle management. Alex should read them the riot act take their assets over and let’s go ahead as Cenovus. CNRL knows how to do this right, sure as hell not Mr DZ who screwed up the whole Conoco purchase with the exact same weak attitude.
Not me! I have already been hearing how the VPs of both companies are way too busy 1-2-punching at each other to protect their jobs. Nobody is thinking about what’s right!
