reading through the information presented by many sites such as https://swprs.org/; d–g companies have immunity from the vaccines, not comfortable taking it
question becomes when company makes it mandatory for the job - can it happen here?

I can see some lawsuits coming over forcing you to take a vaccine. I take it because you force me to, then I end up in the hospital, I'll be suing somebody.

@2ekd: While I tend to agree with your analogy, smoking can cause cancer which is not contagious. Smokers did that to themselves.
The primary issue is that with Covid-19 ~99% of people may survive it. However, while they are ill they are contagious and can pass the virus by just being in the vicinity of people that may be in the 1% that won't survive through no fault of their own. 400K deaths in the USA so far.

Who cares what coddled US workers want. Locations tracking , vaccinations, and genetic profiling will become normal work and shopping requirements in Asia ... and Asia is where Honeywell designs and manufactures the products that matter.

Mask mandate will become a permanent feature of US life once the new administration comes in. HON SPS is actively pushing for it. Forcing all employees to wear a mask everyday, every hour of work will mean millions in new revenue , so mask up and shut up!

Go read the question and answers email by Honeywell Now titled "Covid-19 Vaccine Questions and Answers" sent out on 12-21-2020, it might help answer some of your questions:

Q: Will HON require I get vaccinated before I return to work? What if I don't want to get vaccinated?

A: We have not made any decision on this point and will follow directives and guidelines established by local and national authorities as well as adhere to all local laws. The company will encourage employees to get vaccinated where they have access to safe and effective vaccines.

I suspect, if the vaccines ultimately prove to be safe over the long term, you will be "encouraged" to accept the jab by, first, not paying more for your insurance. If that fails to "encourage" you to comply, then it could become mandatory, especially if our tone deaf congress pass liability laws, similar to the liability protection the vaccine manufactures enjoy, that protect corporations from employees who are injured from taking the mandatory vaccine as a condition of employment.
I hope it all calms down soon. Very troubling times we are now living.

I won't get the vaccine until it's mandatory for return to work, When it is, I will get a vaccine and hope for the best. We all know it's coming.

I would bet a bundle that HON makes it mandatory just for the fact that they have such a hard on AGAINST WFH. They will do anything to get EVERYONE back into the office.

@mxn: I understand your position but what are you going to do if they make the vaccine mandatory for continued employment? The article in @pwd+18VYQL9T's post seems to state that the US courts have already legally backed that a company can do it.

I would not take the vaccine as we do not know the long term effects. Also, d–g manufacturers try to down-play side effects all the time and quietly settle outside of court. Look at the numerous lawsuits from all the other d–gs in general. Do we want to take a d–g that was created based on making money and developed in such a short period of time? Do you really trust the FDA that had approved a lot of harmful d–gs in the past? Much of the decision was based on campaigning/bribes. What if down the road there are serious side effects? Would the company be on the hook to take care of you for the rest of your living days? Or would they quickly lay you off and pay a small severance to make you leave quietly - once the side effects are known? Only time will tell. I prefer to wait as I am not on my deathbed just yet.

Read the pasted article above. Yes, it seems companies can make the vaccine mandatory to remain employed. I personally don't have a problem with it but I understand many other people do. It's your decision either way.
