Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

The site name is "thelayoff"

Am I the only one who does not care AT ALL about a layoff any more? At this point it feels like doing nothing is just fine.

To the OP.

Yes.

There are other websites where you can post your random non-layoff thoughts.

I'm going to be fired, layed off, or quit, in the next few weeks. Hoping for layed off but I'm not waiting.

I worked hard because we had a great manager and a wonderful team. I was giving my best for the manager, whom I respected, never for the bank. They eliminated our manager last year and moved us under a clueless blue-blood yes-man. I am now in “give them as little work as possible” mode. I could give 125%, or 25%, and this new regime would have no idea. The yes-man doesn’t know because he has zero understanding of the work we do. I don’t really get the impression he cares either. He seems to be in glad-handing mode, and it’s working for him, so who can blame him?

It’s a win-win for me either way. I’ll take the money as long as they want to pay me. If they lay me off, I’ll happily take the severance, and the time off, and reboot at the base.

It’s survival of the fittest around here, and I choose to protect myself, not WFC.

Be willing to sell your soul, and you will be just fine.

company has to cut 50-60k to survive, then once they update the tech, they can cut another 50k; place is in trouble, it is far behind . They may be able to outsource a lot of tech to move things along faster and so its done right.

the company was good but most of the people here are toxic; not good if someone wants to be healthy to work here; if you want to make good money and not an executive you will be paid peanuts.

Still 50k job cuts to go

I think people are concerned about being layoffs because deep down they truly love this company. This company is their true passion and purpose in life. It hurts to be laid off from something that you like. They want to make the place better but its like fighting a war that near impossible to win.
