If you want to stay on GSM, T-mobile is cheaper.
You can take it a step further and use MVNO, such as Mint Mobile, Red Pocket, Boost Mobile, etc...

Tmobile is cheaper, but their network is nowhere near as strong as ATT's. You definitely get what you pay for. The savings were worth it to me.

In Charlotte NC area T-Mobile rocks. With military plan T mobile is much cheaper than employee discount. Speeds are better also when comparing with work phone, both iPhone. Been with T-Mobile for three years now. Moved three lines from AT&T over to my T-Mobile.
If anyone is not a fan of T-Mobile, an MVNO might be better coverage and cheaper, since it could use any part of the GSM network? Just a guess on my part, Mint Mobile seemed to be better and cheaper than T-Mobile from what I've seen.
Went and got a vzw sim after the Christmas Day bombing in Nashville took out parts of 4 states (TN, KY, AL, MS) ATT cell coverage. Can’t wait to dump them for good.
Yep. Mint Mobile. $25 month 12GB data. I rarely use over 10. It was easy. Got 3 months free so I paid $75 plus taxes for 6 months coverage.
I tried TMobile. What a disaster. Misrouted calls. Spotty service.
Yup - moved five lines to mint mobile and consumer cellular within the last two weeks. No problems and less than the employee discount in our situation
Sure if price is the only factor. If you want decent coverage and support most of the time the big two are the way to go. Vz and t. I have vz as I’m an employee so I get 50 off. I went to T-Mobile and had to switch even my sons phone from t. He lives in Chicago and he said the service was terrible. I’m in Atlanta and In certain areas tmob was worse than event t.
Exactly. I use an MVNO. I get att service for less than our lousy employee discount.
In my area, T-Mobile has spotty coverage, Cheaper isn't always better.
yeah when I first left on my own that was one of the first things I did. pretty sad when you can get a cheaper normal price than with an employee discount. I don't know whey anybody uses att wireless. pay too much and terrible service.

After I left the company, this was the first thing I did. My new mobile bill is lower than what I was paying under the (50% employee discount) at&t plan. Unbelievable.
