Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

"AT&T Leadership": what are the odds... ?

I posted this during the last McFresh town hall. No surprise, even though it started bubbling to the top of the slido list right away - it's anonymous posting/voting - it was deleted by the admin before Fresh was able to read it.

It rings even more true today.

"We are being dictated our culture and told not to question AT&T strategy. But almost literally every analyst, every customer, every employee, every expert - thouands of them - say that AT&T has failed monumentally in all the major ways, particularly TMo, DTV, and TW. Yet executives are leaving with golden parachutes. What are the odds that literally everyone else is wrong and only the few top executives at AT&T are correct?"

I haven't seen leaders since I've been at T. I've seen good supervisors and managers cower in fear of losing their jobs or being demoted for not carrying the bulls**t torch and rallying their troops in saluting Der Fuhrer. They were beaten into submission. Most of the good ones left this pithole long ago.
When I was surplussed I had my 2nd line badger me into embellishing my resume whenever I applied to internal positions so she wouldn't get dinged because her people couldn't find internal jobs and the company had to pay severance. It was total BS.
Another time I had an AD so effing inept the guy couldn't wipe his own ar$e without a job aide and calling his direct reports to make sure he understood. Guy was such a total loser all of his direct reports complained about him and tried to avoid this mo–n at all costs.
THIS is the "leadership" I've witnessed at T. The two words "Leadership" and "AT&T" shouldn't even be mentioned in the same sentence.

Randall was no leader, he was an MBA that didn't know WiFi from LTE. He knew how to get in front of a crowd a say "SCHPTRUM" a lot. Well Randy, T Mobile took that "spectrum" from AT&T and now is the number 2 wireless carrier. Guess who is number 3..

This whole company is a scam, beginning with Randall's 'leadership' and continuing to the current CEO. The C-Suite's primary objective is to successfully feed the media a line of booshitt long enough to sail off into the sunset with their golden parachutes before this Titanic goes under once and for all. As this company sinks, that's getting harder and harder to do.

It starting to seem like the execs don’t even believe their own BS. It’s like the game is to set themselves up for a financially rewarding exit, all the while selling employees, and our futures, down the river. None of them are impressive, and I doubt they’d be successful in a company that demands excellence.
