Not sure what it is.
Hearing it's between Chattanooga and Birmingham to get the ax but Chattanooga doesn't have a town hall scheduled.
Anyone know anything?

I can assure you we have no EINSTEIN’s leaving comments here on the LAYOFF.com.
Well since grammar is so important to you, I guess you can try to be a language professor once your railroad job ends. Considering all the education you have which landed you the job at NS in the first place. Now that is very LAUGHABLE. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Hope my grammar was ok!!
We heard “no more cuts at Bellevue”. Then.......
"What’s laughable is you think since the date is wrong is all is well and your safe ."
Say what?
What's laughable is the fact you can't communicate very well. Your incorrectness of using the word your is quite laughable. It's (You're) .Your lack of education is showing you're not very smart. That's safe to say!
No more repair work at Chattanooga. Fuel Rack only. Some small stuff and trouble shoot. Another cut in half.
What’s laughable is you think since the date is wrong is all is well and your safe .
Big announcement on a Saturday you say? That alone is laughable.
Bellevue is also going on the block at that time also. No details about seniority.
Bad news for Chattanooga. Shop will be closing March 1st. Some of the work will go to Birmingham and Conway. Anyone with 20 years service will be offered permanent transfers and keep Seniority. It never ends!!
Compare the seniority rosters of Birmingham/Chattanooga and you will get your answer. If the people in Birmingham are ahead of the last 40 laid off in Chattanooga then there you go. Because they are not buying jobs!
How is humping in Atlanta working out while they are building pig trains?
When I was there around 2010 or so it would seem impossible with the way they used the receiving, class and forwarding yards.
Well Atlanta started humping cars so that leaves 3 in the south and 2 in the north
Neither will close. They last indicated in the investor conference call that they had two humps in the North and two in the South which was inline with the four humps CSX has. Will they try to flat switch one, maybe, but the car counts at each facility justify the hump. Right now the flavor of the month is longer DP trains.
I like how they try to inject logic into these discussions. Like “they can’t Handel the work load they have now after all the cuts.” They don’t care, it’s all numbers and getting to the number that matters, is ALL that matters. If the only way to get to 60 or below was lay every hourly employee off and park trains they would.
Birmingham to close. All operations will be shifted to chat.
Been hearing for awhile that Birmingham’s hump will be closing. I wonder if this is it for them . I have been to Chattanooga, it’s a big yard , but it’s so busy now we can hardly get in and out I can’t believe they would try and take Birmingham’s trains and run more out of Chattanooga
Strickland went from Birm to Chatt.
I come in everyday not knowing if it'll be my last. Just go through the motions like a zombie. Just don't care anymore. Contract the whole thing out, who cares. Let them walk 10 miles a night in the rocks.
For the one wanting to know how I got the information, tell me why you want to know and what your job title is and I might tell you how I got the information.
Worded like company that is aggravated word is out.
And just how did you get your information?
Who knows why they didn't.
New schedule has some Birmingham trains orgininating out if Chattanooga now and the DMMO office was moved up here a few months back.
Damn sure don't want to be laid off again.
They just laid off close to 40 in Chattanooga. Why didn't they just shut it down then?
