Lies are the same forwards and backwards

A manager told me "Lies are the same forwards and backwards". What do you think they meant by that?

Never trust a manager (or anyone else) who speaks in riddles.

Thankyou for responding to my original question.

What kind of weirdo goes around saying stuff like this? I think they thought I was lying about something, but I wasn't. Might have been the only person in my area who wasn't lying about something.
