Big CO"s are typically hardened, with batteries in the basement. The diesel fuel and generators were on the third floor in my CO. Not familiar with this location. Our basement was a nuclear fallout shelter. This is how they used to do it.

The hazmat sign is for the diesel tank, you get a routine to make sure it is there.
It's a CO, and a big one, so would have had battery banks full of acid, as well as a significant store of diesel fuel for the generators. Those assets would not, however, have been sitting by the main entrance behind glass doors! Likely multiple floors below ground.

Authorities believe an explosion that occurred in downtown early Christmas morning and was felt for miles was an "intentional act" sparked by a vehicle.
Police responded to reports of a suspicious vehicle parked outside the AT&T building just before 6 a.m. Upon arrival, police said an officer "had reason" to alert the department's hazardous devices unit, which was enroute, when a "significant explosion" happened.
Three people were hospitalized with injuries, police said. At least 20 buildings, said Nashville Mayor John Cooper were estimated to be damaged due to the explosion.
Police and firefighters responded to an area near Second Avenue and Commerce Street about 6:45 a.m. Friday. Officials are on the scene trying to put out the fire and see if anyone is inside the building.
