Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Saturday is our last day in claims, formally

How many of you that were let go,consider this a true blessing as opposed to receiving a tremendous workload as a reward for staying? To top it off they have posted many of these same claim positions. They said they let those go whose jobs were eliminated. If those jobs were eliminated in truth why would they be reposted? Why were we lied to? This was truly and only about getting rid of the top salaries who by the way where the top performers as well as the two go hand-in-hand. Goodbye Allstate as one can get receive more integrity, honesty , and ethical treatment Working at a dog kennel picking up feces. Goodbye good hands!

I was ready to go and I had another job that I was working before my last day on 11/28. Allstate can kiss my a**. And for those that’s there if you aren’t looking for another job then that’s you problem because no one is going to knock on your door and offer you another job. So stop complaining and do something to save yourself because you are the only one that can do that.

The same jobs laid off are being reposted at lower pay bands, worse hours, and the reduced new hire PTO and benefits. This was the plan all along. These job postings have nothing to do with a backtrack due to increased workloads. Allstate does not care if you are overworked, stressed, and demoralized. They want to get the most out of every penny they pay out. They have said to shareholders that labor costs are liability. I have heard this myself.

I have lost good friends after I was laid off. They were so upset that they were retained and stuck in this mess. They were envious of my "freedom". Most people that work at Allstate are so miserable and defeated that they hate life in general. It has only gotten worse with increased workloads and the impossible task of meeting now unattainable goals. Many are eagerly awaiting the next round of mass layoffs and there will be several rounds of these in the next few years.

This folks is ALL by design and the epitomy if "Transformative Growth"

I really felt bad for awhile, struggled with the fact I was no longer needed. We all feel like we contribute to the companies success, we all contribute to customer satisfaction, we all wanted each other to succeed. Slowly over years this company shredded any loyalty I had, you get to the point you no longer care if this company succeeds or not, it was a horrible state of mind to be in everyday. I was with Allstate over 2 decades, from a great job to a nightmare it has become. Cutting senior employees loose under false pretenses, cutting employees loose using the assessment as a smoke screen, age discrimination, reposting jobs after the fact all leads us to the truth Allstate no longer values their employees. Which in turn will lead to the same feeling in return the workforce will no longer care if Allstate succeeds or not. The road to failure is immanent.
