Crazy to me that the country is going nuts over COVID and NS does absolutely nothing when they get confirmed cases. I’ve see three people go out with COVID and the company hasn’t done sh– to clean or take any type of measure to keep it from spreading. How are they getting away with doing nothing??

Safety is a condition of employment therefore if you get covid19 you will be handled accordingly
Where I’m working one of the guys wife has COVID they quarantined him for 14 days
was told by my boss in april that covid rules don't apply to the railroads. if it is going to cost them money and cut into their OR or bonuses, its not going to happen. they don't give a c-ap about us workers. if someone dies, that is one less employee they have to pay. it s—s but thats the way it is. will not change until someone successfully sues them for big money

How are they getting away with it? Same way they get away with all of it. NS and I suspect all railroads have ties to the government. It’s ran just like the government, get away with things we would go to jail for, waste massive amounts of money , screw blue collar while putting white collar on a pedestal the list goes on.
They ain’t the only company. Pull your diapers up and be a big boy and protect yourself, not rely on somebody else. That’s the worlds problem. F*** NS but they don’t owe anyone a dam thing
