We are having major attrition in the middle of a raging pandemic at the end of the year when nobody is hiring. Imagine how bad of an employer do you have to be to have people walking out under these conditions? And of course, we are not hiring anybody else to replace them, so those of us left are stuck with having to do extra work for who knows how long. Meaning, more will be leaving really soon...

What will Americans accept? Corporate America continues to push the “line” to figure out a new norm. During a pandemic, focus started on the worker (60-90 days). Then greed kicks back in and shareholders become the focus. Stocks rise when there is a stimulus, because the cost of workers shift to the government. As we have seen, Corporations are not paying their far share of taxes. Money coming back from a stimulus is just another means of redistribution of the workers wealth (money we earned).
Government should kick in during a crisis. That’s what it’s for, but it will need to become “big” if the private sector continues to behave narcissistic. Can’t have it both ways. Corporate American has just proven they need to be taxed heavily as even during a pandemic they only think of the top 1%.
Only reason I haven't quit is because of the pandemic. Seems counter-intuitive to leave my job when so many people can't find work
IngenioRX division is mass hiring
Hiring is happening, just not in the USA.
I left in March on my own , right after the AIP had cleared my back account , no notice, just resigned. With what I have followed on this forum, I would have been clipped soon after my most excellent exodus. No regrets here..
I think what you are describing could be considered Stockholm Syndrome , where one will idolize the oppressor, or perhaps one accepts of even enjoy the decline of Anthem , and not put themselves in a better situation.
I would liken such with that scene in Hellraiser , where newly minted Cenobite, Dr Chennard emerges from the phone booth to survey the Leviathan Obelisk (Anthem) only to utter "..AND to think, I HESITATED..."
