Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Forget live 'T' - V

During the debate last night, U-verse lost signal 4 times.
Don't watch much live TV, because this keeps happening, but this I really wanted to see.
And what happens that one time it matters? The service does not work right.
And this after being the flagship TV product for 14 years.
One would think that they'd know how to do it by now?
Certainly does not induce confidence in the new ATT-TV, that has only been around for a few months.
With U-verse shutting down in January, this made up my mind to not even bother with ATT-TV.
If they haven't gotten it right in 14 years, they're not going to get it right in 4 months.
I can do without.
Sorry for anybody who worked in U-verse, I know it's not you.
If the company is not putting in the resources to make the stuff work, it is not an employee problem, but a leadership problem.

I have had Uverse TV, phone, and Internet, for several years now and have enjoyed this offering.

My connection has been pretty rock solid, although granted I was turned up on bonded pairing.

Once in awhile I will have a wireless receiver get a glitch with loss of signal, but a simple reboot of the receiver fixes it.

The company should retain the service, in light of the fact I am grandfathered, and cannot change my Uverse TV package right now.

go to dslreports.com; take the speed test. My ip dsl/uverse always flunks the test because of buffer bloat. i also sometimes lose a show that I am streaming. I was able to trace the path of my feed to the internet. When I lose my streaming signal there is a high utilization on some of the ports of my path. So I would say it is overloaded and not enough bandwidth. I told people about it, but they don't seem to care. You should be able to stream at all times of the day not just at 2AM when no one else is on.

AT&T TV is a mess and tired old DirectTV with audio syncing, production outages and a poor quality application for the consumer with more of the same. Customers are p-ss-d off why they have been screwed for high costs from DirectTV and done with AT&T

I watched it on Directv with no interruptions at all!Maybe you should switch to Directv and you can watch the election results live on CNN or FOX news channels or local networks! We are not that busy and we can probably get your installation in this weekend.Dont just watch tv, Directv!

Since you missed some of it, allow me to provide you a recap. Trump won and Biden is still a criminal like Hillary taking illicit money from foreign governments. Not that Biden said he never got any money from foreign governments. That is true. He always arranges to get it from his family members who get it from foreign governments. Joe always tells everyone he came from poor beginnings. Then the worked as a civil servant for 47 years. Now he has $167M. Hmm, that didn't come from government service....

This may be a local issue for you. I have had uVerse for years and I’ve had no issues other than changing out my gateway. It’s been years since that was necessary. I’m a big uVerse fan and will be unhappy when/if they stop offering it.

U-verse TV service is fine. Probably the best guide/operational setup out of any service out there. Channel changes are lightning quick, ability to see video on other channels is nice, too. Sounds like you have a poor connection. The copper that it takes to get to your house is what really holds uverse back unfortunately.

For what it's worth, as a former Uverse TV subscriber, I watched the debate on my youtube TV sub over 1gb internet, and it stuttered multiple times.
