Stankey declined to provide any update on HBO Max subscriber numbers, claiming that “I’m incredibly happy with where we are, and we need more time to crunch the numbers ” and that HBO Max is ahead of the sub counts it expected to have at this stage. In terms of engagement, HBO Max users have spent more than an hour per day with the service, also exceeding targets, very happy with the results.

I spent a lot of time begging my kids to watch DTV, and now HBOMax. Tried my best to even position it and show how cool it is. Early on I refused to buy any other streaming service starting with Netflix. I told my kids that "these guys are competing with us and would have me out of a job." Fast forward to today and while I have a job, many do not. And I now have HULU Netflix and Disney+. K–ls me to say it but its true.
Who wouldn't take advantage of the DTV employee discount? I was thrilled to cut the cord with Comcast and have enjoyed the DTV employee benefit; can't beat it with a stick. Will be sad to lose it and have to go back to a $230 Comcast bill.
The largest failure sets on the shoulders of the outside forces for not meeting TACR and HPC for months on end. They have no concept of a satisfied, valued, happy customer that will buy more services once you have done your job in a quick efficient manner. You have the tools and the training. You must lack the motivation to be a stellar employee...
What happen to content is king? You own the warner content now, but the product s—s.
Meanwhile, Netflex and Amazon are pumping out original produced content that people are will pay for and watch. Granted, not every show/film is a winner, but they've got critical acclaim and fan base to keep investing.
Sure, Stank can hide the sub numbers all he wants, the bottom line and ongoing layoffs are telling enough.
The hbo Max app isn’t available on a lot of platforms. For example, LG smarthub, fire stick, etc... this all stinks of the dtv now ploy where they gave it away and then claimed all these subscribers. Where is that product now?
I have AT&T Fiber 1G and it includes HBO Max for FREE yet my family NEVER watches it. The content is GARBAGE but that is what is expected when Stank is at the helm.
"I never took Directv for $10.00 a month"
Why? It's a fantastic deal. I'm an employee, too, from the Telco side.
We still have cable TV because of broadband need and I've negotiated the TV portion for low cost as part of a bundle. $10/mo. DirecTV is worth it for an extra DVR, HBO and Showtime, mobile access, and Sunday Ticket.
Having both in the house has also demonstrated that DTV has a better picture and sound quality than Comcast. I'd be sad to see it go if we lose the discount.
I never took Directv for $10.00 a month and don't care about HBOmax ... and I work for you ... so good luck.
they keep sending the emails to download the HBO max app for free. my entire family has not -you cant fix that stank. free and its a pass. of course i was my family would so i could quit paying for netflix and prime.
They have spent an hour trying to login and configure it.
The bulk of HBOmax customers are AT&T employees. If they're spending over an hour a day watching it, it's because they're watching TV instead of working.
Crunch the numbers? March 27? 7 months later still dont know?LOL.
