Makes sense. Get rid of clueless VP's, Hire VP's with the skill set to transform digital. Hire S bands that know Cloud and Digital and new VP has relationships with. Allow new VP's to asses the existing team Keep the good ones that are workable. Get rid of useless S and E bands who are yes men and fitter in types who make decks and talk a big talk, but have no idea what Tech Ops needs or Digital is. Table is set by end of January. Great Strategy. Grow up folks. They way it has always been. It is the end of an era and the beginning of a new one. Wish you all good luck including myself.

WITNESS - NIKE is losing its Sport culture at the cost of digitization, this company’s culture was its USP. Too many lab rats in TECH VP position, too far away from sport to understand athlete.

Yep, yet ANOTHER Sr. Director was hired in the Planning and Manufacturing space under one of the most incompetent VPs with whom I have ever interacted. I lost count of the number of Sr. Directors this VP has. I watch them get together to prioritize work few times so far; I was laughing my a– off witnessing thousands of $ being being wasted for doing absolutely nothing for 4 hours. They took turns just repeating what the previous one said only slightly differently with each adding one of our favorite words - unpack this, edit and amplify, require commitment, etc. Well, maybe I was crying instead of laughing! Hard to tell. F—ing hell!

Let me guess, CDIO's friends? He has been hiring too many of his own people in VP position. Kohl's is not doing well in digital, why would Nike hire ppl from there and expect good result? At least try to recruit ppl from some better places...
