Soo many dimensions here. But - It was T's decision to contract/subcontract/3rd-party-software everything because it was too cheap to do it in house with its own people and systems. Thus, it completely lost control of its own data. All the 3rd parties have the info, T got nothing and thus cannot prove anything. The company is completely hollowed out, because most of it is contracted out to so many outside parties, it gave EVERYTHING away and PAID for it.
T is at the mercy of every contractor. If you don't own your data, you are lost.
Good job, RS and JS, saving 50% on labor cost, but giving away 100% of the company!
