Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Questions for your next skip level?

I will start –

Honeywell cannot afford raises or even normal operating expenses but was able to promise more than 80M in additional dividends to shareholders last quarter? Over the next 12 months that would be nearly $3000 per year for every employee worldwide ... just in the dividend increase.

@3zcb, perfect explanation! Skip levels are used to identify the "troublemakers". It's a process only our benevolent leaders and HR could think of!

A skip-level is a meeting designed to elicit from lower level employees feedback regarding performance deficiencies of higher level employees, thus enabling higher level employees and HR to efficiently identify lower level employees to fill the next RIF.

What's a skip level? Last two I attended with our VP there was an HR Rep in the room taking attendance and logging employee comments. Why would anyone speak up and give candid comments in that scenario? The whole point of a skip level is to be able to express your thoughts to someone several levels up without fear of retaliation(been in a few real skip levels and understand how they should work).

What's a skip level....JK. Been here at Deer Valley for a great number of years, and only remember having one, that would truly be called a "skip level". Maybe other sites have them regularly. No complaints though, any ideas we have never go anywhere

If HI cannot afford pay raises, how did they afford giving money to the Black History museum?

Dividend increase is a stategy used to lure would-be investors to purchase sh*ty stocks.

This has no relevancy. If you are expecting a formula for employee pay versus dividend payout, there is no correlation.
Free market. Corp will pay whatever they want, and employees will decide if they will accept or leave
