I tried them all after being surplused.
AT&T tv is by far the premium experience and the price without any discount is similar to ROKU/Youtube tv.
I chose AT&T tv with the box/remote, if you haven't tried it, I'd suggest doing so, you can try it for 2 weeks and if not happy return it free of charge.
Went to Roku and don’t miss a thing even my cable company is on Roku and I don’t need a box from them. Saving big bucks even over my wonderful employee discount at cesspool att. Saving big bucks with my wireless bill too. Got great service too phone works where att didn’t.
Agreed with the previous poster, hardware rental fees is extremely lame and the hardware is no where near cutting edge, same old chrome tv as other boxes out there. Anyone who has got half-a-brain will see through it and can buy any of these others devices and pay far lower cost.

Went from a Direct TV bill of $130(retiree) to YouTube tv $60 (no subscription) vs ATT Now $60 (2 year commitment ) one TV needed a Internet dongle so went and got a Roku $30 one time. Love the Roku interface. Now saving close to $70 a month. Was gonna get HBO Max ..but nobody watched it.
Lots of options out there....very competitive. Plus ATT has a serious challenger of T-Mobile Sprint merger...more competition. Not gonna pay for 5G service at an additional $60 a month.

Good point. I am a former T employee, I dropped DTV when I was surplussed this year as I thought the price would go up a lot. I shopped around and chose Youtube TV. It was ok, 65 bucks for about 80 channels, I was clunky to use as I was used to a remote that I can pick a channel by number. I liked the unlimited club DVR but hated that I could not delete the shows I watched. My wife missed music channels so I started shopping again. T is a POS, they have this stupid program (the same people who came up or approved this garbage must be the same people who green lighted buying DTV when streaming was an option) that locks you in for two years but the lower price is only good for one year. I mean really? Since I already have 1gig from Comcast (another failure of T to provide 1gig in my neighborhood leaving the field wide open to Comcast) I signed up for Comcast streaming. Its still a Kluge compared to a box with a remote but its better than Youtube TV (I also had to get another streaming service for additional channels so I was paying 88 per month) with Comcast, for the next year at least will be paying about 110 for cable via streaming. Not happy with the lower club DVR (20 hours) and the fast forward for recorded shows is lousy. I would still pay about 10 or 20 less per month for Comcast vs DTV as a retiree!!! I got a quote for DTV for 124 the other day and thats after the 20% lower price as a retiree. SMHIA
This is a bonehead major mistake by T to not provide their premium Warner content in these devices , but rather force subscribers into old fashioned custom hardware model.
Who the fckn wamts to buy a "cable box" in 2020 to watch specific service. Not really sure what T was thinking, was it to collect video data and demographics for Xandr, better control of ad revenue..
who knows in any case they'll eventually dump this stupid proprietary T box and go on the regular hardware platforms.
