But, the health and safety team will be in the office with majority team majority time, so we're safe and ok then right? Oh wait, it's because we are forced by our exec, in contradiction to the CEO's message to the whole company.
Title should read 360 more people are immune, you people are nothing but fear mongers.
Your so right! We should all get back in the office so Bill dosent make even more money from us from Microsoft products !. In the office, companies want be dependant on MS
Yes, your also right.. some people are such mo–ns!..
Sure Wish we could rid the company of the few mo–ns...
Its great Microsoft has done such a good job and we are so dependent on their software. It's great we can use the MS software to work from home, sure does seem to benefit Mr. Gates. His share value in MS has increased just over $8B over the last year... I wonder if working from home is exactly what he wants. People are such mo–ns.
Gimee a break, CVE has never been that innovative, good at tooting own horn but innovative... never.
What an insult that last point is to leaders.. we have been putting in double time to keep the team performing and integrated during this time at home.. with a lot of success.
- and certain companies are seeing the benefit and cost reduction initiative this adds by keeping everyone at home or part time at home..
Microsoft being one of them..
Anyways... there are pros and cons on either side of this agreement .. but I’ll do what leadership needs and sees as best plan of actions..
Am always surprised to hear so many staff say "I'm more productive at home by myself". Everyone may be faster at filling in their powerpoint or excel spreadsheet but the overall team health of Cenovus has taken a huge dive. Goes to show why we have supervisors and leaders; Cenovus isn't just about YOU... or your singular contribution. It is about our organized and effective effort working TOGETHER. All the other DT majors are back working together... which means we are losing ground. But that's okay, go back to filling in your spreadsheet super fast meanwhile we all fall behind in innovation and creativity because everyone is in their home bubble by themselves.
My two bits. It’s going to go up and down from here until a vaccine is developed. There will be no real good time or bad time. I just laugh at how a foot tall plexiglass over our cubicle walls will keep us all safe. It’s all for optics same as so much other silly steps we take on our day to day lives now. What do you do though, we have to go back eventually. But it is funny to sit in your cubicles and go on Teams to have meetings which you could just do at home. And then at lunch we will all go to the food court or gym and not wear masks.
There’s zero upside going back to the office at this time with the case counts rising. I’ve been working more hours on average, attending more meetings and getting more done at home than in the office than at any time over the past 15 years.
If people are slacking, not doing their jobs etc. management shouldn’t hesitate to let those individuals go.
Rushing back to the office is all about optics, not productivity.
Cases does not equal fatalities. only reason cases are up is because testing is up, and testing with a questionable test. AP and the rest are doing the right thing, at some point people are going to have to get over this crazy media induced fear.
