Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Ohio RMBC

Seeing the info about Irving makes me think they can’t be too far off from making the announcement for Ohio. Just get on with it.

Unfortunately management is being very evasive with information, but they’ve said that RMBC will definitely be impacted.

I would imagine you’re safe Ohio but it would be nice to have that confirmed. Good luck.

Agreed. I’ve applied multiple places. Unfortunately we’re in a pandemic and jobs are out there, but not as plentiful as before this pandemic.

I’m only hanging on until I hear back or interview for something better!! I just can’t afford to be unemployed right now.

I cannot imagine why - after this - any of you would sit there and wait for it. Stop wasting good time on bad situations. Life is too short for this kind of garbage.

I refuse to do more work for less pay.

Well, I’ve been looking. The stress that is to come with shortages isn’t worth the $16 or so an hour I know many make, lol.

I could get paid more elsewhere probably in a less stressful environment. Time I guess to move on.

ATSC chat was in Irving through 2019. It is now in Charlotte and also India.

In a time oh transformative growth, decisions are not made based on how busy the work load is. Decisions to cut are based on financial goals and customer sales goals. We could be drowning with 70 calls holding and multiple chats holding, 6000 critical property service inspections needing completed- and the call will still come through with how many people are needed to be laid off.

Unfortunately, for us, the only way to succeed in a competitive market is to get the same amount of work completed, efficiently and with 20 or 30 percent less staff. Or more. I feel bad for any managers, department managers or branch managers. They simply have to tell us what is out of their control.

If it is anything like all the other areas that have migrated to chat once implemented fully into the RMBC we will be required to handle three chats or "calls" at the same time as a standard minimum for our jobs. That along with all the other automation and zero exception ideology that has been integrated into RMBC I certainly see some cuts within Hudson.

I’m at the Hudson location. I just am not sure how they’ll cut us when the average handle time for calls has INCREASED due to agents holding for 40-50 minutes!

We already are worked in a micro managed environment with no pay increases. They crack the whip and just expect us to go faster..

We can’t expect less people to do the same amount or more work. That’s not how business works!

I’m wondering in tomorrow’s morning huddle if they’ll even tell us about Irving... or acknowledge it.
Information is being hidden from us.

The Hudson employees were speed trained. Now they will be answering phones and handling all the inspections and appeals. They haven’t even been able to learn these processes fully. Hudson got dumped on in an already bad job. Soon they are removing the phone contact option anyway and replacing with chat and email. Agents must be furious, as their hold times were off the charts as is. No ASAP no RMBC, no reason to buy an agency. Slowly the work will migrate offshore which represents the final sinking of the once mighty ship that was Allstate. Thank you for the opportunity to sign a waiver you so desperately need. I don’t think I will waive anything . I will collect unemployment. Keep your benefits, they’re of little use and overpriced and they’re already replaced. Looking forward to some rest. I was traumatized by Allstate.

Rmbc had many higher up say we are safe. Starting back when it all was announced. Telling us to our faces. Beginning to truly wonder why people are so sure. Sorry to Irving if the rumors are true. I guess, much like everyone outside of the corporate elite round table, we must simply wait for the next plot twist in Allstate’s transformation extravaganza.

Yeah. I personally have not received an assessment, nor has anyone on the team I am on.

My guess is if we were being eliminated entirely too that we would have been told today as Irving was. My guess with over half of total RMBC underwriting rumored to be laid off that the rest of us will get assessments or find out like Irving about total Ohio elimination by end of day tomorrow.

Agreed. It’s hard to focus on being efficient in any shape, when our fates are still up in the air.
