Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

EMPLOYEE APPRECIATION/CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT?

Former Allstater here. October is traditionally "Employee Appreciation" month. Are they still going to do that in light of all these layoffs?
Also, I could not stand C.I. including Root Cause/Problem Solving. Are they seriously still asking for employee morale during daily huddles? I imagine that's in the tank.

I fought hard for them to stop asking how you are feeling. I feel the purpose of that question was how did work go yesterday? Notice anything you can share, was work amount ok or do you need help. Not are you tired, sad or happy that day.

Speaking of useless programs, IMHO, does Allstate still have the Energy for Life trainers in home office? When I was compelled to take that class my understanding was that the people who did the class were full time employees and personal trainers.

HATED RCPS! VERY former Allstater here. I was the rebel of the bunch. I used to pick the face with the straight line for the mouth. No one's business how I'm feeling that day....or any other day. Just another stupid program brought to you by the ivory tower in Chicago. The irony of my department at the time is the man who "trained" us in this nonsense was let go a few months before our department disbanded. Doesn't matter how much YOU care....they NEVER will.

RCPS is when a bunch of people are hand picked for obvious reasons. They form these meetings that go on for months. Often there is no outcome or reports. If and when an outcome is reached, I am usually already doing it because it’s just common sense. This is what happens when the system is out of touch and out of date.
