I just got let go. Main admin at OBA in EH. Received zoom Meeting invite from HR. Then they told me they are ending my employment due to economic downturn. I work in well known department and always had exceptional PFT. I Had so many contacts in the company and even VPs know me by name. I am Very disappointed. My boss was not even there when they told me this news. I am planning to collect unemployment for few months and then planning to move to ARIZONA. I am young and I know I will get the job but I am really worried about folks who are in their 50s and have to stay in CT. Connecticut has no jobs and it’s very expensive. Pratt is an awesome company. Please remember company doesn’t like to let people go!!! It’s an economic downturn. Stay healthy and stay safe ! Time to start new chapter !

Was the meeting invite sent a while before the actual meeting? What was it titled? Very surprised/disappointed your supervisor wasn’t at the meeting.
How many years had you had with PW? I thought severance was one weeks pay for each year worked. Did you have 4 years?
Connecticut does not require WARN submission for unforeseen circumstances.
How do they get past the warn act with just one month of pay ?

Yes there was 1 month pay. Not enough but better than nothing !
