It was actually actively deployed in southeast Louisiana. They put a story on Insider but didn't include a picture of it in the sky for some reason. You can probably look for it, they're calling it FirstNet One iirc.
Mc-T–d-Alfresh reported working on 6G, since 5G does not work very well, that may be AT&T's First Net problem?

Firstnet was hanging out over at Airgig's house chillin and lost track of time.
FirstNet tanked big time, that is why X.W. left before they could pin the failure on him.
The whole gov contract was a disaster to begin with. It never meant that first responders would HAVE to sign up with T and the gov would do all the work... Nooo.. Instead, T had to convince and sign up every.single.user itself. Even the lowest-level retail store rep was forced to ask the scripted question of "Are you a first-responder?" - 'Uh, no, I am an employee'. - "Well, do you KNOW any first responders, family, friends, neighbors, that we can sign up?".. It was sad.
As for it being a separate network? Don't know how many times I asked how exactly that was possible, since we do not own most of the towers, but lease them, and are we really climbing and placing another/different box on that same over-loaded tower?
And building new towers is next to impossible with all the pushback from the munis?
And that was the key to our future.
As other posters had pointed out, firstnet isn't a different network or physical infrastructure. First responder sims may have priority for service, but still rely on the same network to make things work. Fire or other disasters will disrupt service, holding a firstnet sim doesn't mean much if the network goes down at the location.

FirstNet is the same service with your FirstNet SIM as it is with a commercial phone. The difference is when a disaster happens, commercial traffic is blocked and only First Responders can get on that network. No one stated otherwise.
Also that tower you're on isn't necessarily the same one a disaster team would deploy with a FirstNet COLT.
first net is just 4G renamed by the SIM card, absolutely no better just a scam to get municipal contracts. I’ll be in the same spot with my personal and the first net SIM card phone and it’s the same number of bars and speed. Did anyone really think T could get a new service up and running that quick from when they announced first net, got the contracts and “launched” it? They can’t even get real 5G running after years of promising it.

Did they touted that The 55-foot aerostat can fly at 1,000 feet, providing better coverage for longer duration, better than anybody?

This is what happens when your cell tower sites burn along with the supporting infrastructure. The government should be giving all the FirstNet billions to Musk. T has wasted it.
