Thread regarding Hertz layoffs

Read the Writing On the Wall

When the guy at the top in charge of finance leaves the company on his own for another opportunity, he knows what’s coming. First Jamere, now his replacement. These are people with intimate knowledge of the bankruptcy proceedings. Heed this warning folks. Get out while you can. Things may seem like they are looking up but just because ute is getting a little better, Hertz is far from a profitable state and I don’t see a scenario where they don’t liquidate. Good luck.

How did this turn in to the presidential debate part 2?

Dear Old Fool,

Your earned retirement was secured by playing along with the historical Hertz pyramid scheme of favoritism. You played so hard to secure your well earned retirement that you have trouble swallowing solid food, and need to sit on an inflateable air cushion to watch reruns of Bonanza on your vintage Curtis Mathis TV console. I'll bet your still boasting about how you convinced the Senior Executives to purchase the coveted Ford Pinto as the signature compact car during your tenure too.

Hey Anonymous,
It's intuitively obvious you are a very bitter person plagued with acute inoperable immaturity. Question: Why do you stay at Hertz if you hate it so much? You're either a lousy bot or a low IQ troll. Either way your puny intellect lacks the ability to digest the facts or carry on a cogent interchange without resorting to insufferable insolence. That's ok by me. I'm doing great in my well earned retirement. Hertz is screwed if they tolerate you. Sayanara, loser.

Hey Grampa,

You must have let your prune juice ferment before you drank it.

You wrecked the company by creating a systemic culture of favoritism and leaching off the company and draining resources as a long term employee. Don't pass the blame onto others. You and your peers held back innovative thinking and created a welfare state for you and your buddies.

Now go put on your Depends before you fall asleep watching reruns of The Love Boat- You don't want to make a stinky mess in your pajamas tonight.

Wow! I must be over the target cause I'm picking up flak. Get your facts straight Anonymous before you start hurling inane insults. Indulge me (and other "old timers") and explain exactly how we wrecked the company? I'd Iike to see you say that to Craig Koch or Joe Nothwang, but you likely haven't got a cluebag who they are.
For most of my career Hertz was an outstanding company. Our leadership chain of command was the best in the industry. We "old timers" made tons of money for the company year after year. We had a loyal and happy customer base.
The decline of the company started with Mark Frissora with the coup de gras administered by Kathy Marinello. Thankfully I was gone before Kathy took over, but I heard all the horror stories about her.
Sounds like you're a Hertz employee still with the company. If so, get an attitude readjustment or quit. The company is certainly doomed if you stick around with that mindset. If you aren't a Hertz employee, don't pretend you know what you're talking about. BTW, my mental acuity is excellent, I still have my original choppers, I don't need oatmeal or prune juice to be regular, and I despise Matlock.

Hey Old Retired Hertz Guy,

Nice to reminisce about the days gone by, but you must have dementia.

Hillbilly Paul and his Banjo buddies have no money to travel to locations. You and the other Old Timers destroyed the company through your terrible performance for years. You, the other 20+ year employees, and even OJ did a great job wrecking Hertz. Our company is a clogged toliet bowl full of big smelly feces floating around and there is no plumber that can fix this toxic mess.

Now put your dentures back in, go eat some warm oatmeal with your prune juice and watch some old reruns of Matlock.

If Paul Stone can successfully pull Hertz out of Chapter 11, then it will truly be miraculous and I will be impressed. I personally hope Hertz does survive. I pray it can return to the fun (and profitable) days when I worked for the company. However, I'm a pragmatist. For example, I hear utilization is up, but not necessarily revenue. I understand a high degree of free upgrades and substitutions are necessary in order to meet increased res loads (Ah, my old arch nemesis...fleet mix). Anyone knows you don't maximize profit by giving away the store. The primary issue is this: How can you reasonably expect to pay back billions in debt with vastly downsized resources while facing a lukewarm travel forecast? And how do you do this without borrowing even more money to get by in the near-term? If the current Hertz "genius" leadership has such a brilliant and confident strategy to rise from the ashes, why keep it a secret? They need to share it with ALL employees to at least give them a sense of inclusion and hope of a realistic future. I challenge Paul Stone and his minions to get out of their ivory tower and visit every possible Hertz location to do just that. Hertz's very existence is at stake and every employee at every level has a role to play in it's survival.

Just like Jamere, Eric looked at the Hillbilly recovery plan and stepped away from this dumpster fire. Paul out here panhandling for bonus $$ when Hertz is $17 billion in debt. Kenny will leave in 3 months too I bet.

Posters here are fools. Paul has doing great things, and the company will be stronger than ever when we emerge from this short term set back. Paul will be getting many offers from big name companies in 2022 to lead their organizations.

Quit spreading lies! Paul is a strategist that knows how to turn things around. He is playing chess, and the posters here only understand checkers. I'm buying HTZ as fast as I can- $6 to $8 a share by next fall. Hertz is an iconic brand!

I like the flat earth comparison, but vice-versa.
In most perspectives and going about your daily life, earth is flat. Only a change in perspective and from miles above do you actually notice the real shape. And while the propaganda machine would like us to believe everything is OK and “confident we will emerge in the other side of Ch11,” reality is liquidation. You may not see it, but we are broke and will run out of money.
Tell a lie a 1000 times and it becomes truth.

Jamere was not going to be an extra in the Hillbilly opry that is being orchestrated. The twang of the poorly tuned banjos being played loudly in an attempt to fool investors and employees is what is driving our talent away. Going to the judge to ask for more bonuses? A plan to sell worthless stock? Firing thousands of employees and then weeks later go on a hiring spree? If this is all the Hillbilly has in his bag of tricks liquidation is only months away.

Hahaha. You have no idea what the circumstances are. A bunch of blind anonymous trolls on the internet acting like they have inside information. Go back to your flat-earth message boards.
