Another roof top bites the dust! Honeywell Aerospace announced the move of the entire gear line production from Phoenix Engines to Honeywell Chihuahua Machining Operations (HCMO) in Mexico. We are expecting this transition to take about 18 months and will be complete in three main phases.

Transitions group is so inept, add another 12 months to current schedule. It could be found out Mexico can't do the work and it'll just go away.
Not everyone can manufacture Aerospace AGMA Level 12 gears you're making a huge mistake and you're giving away intellectual properties that maybe a violation of ITAR regulations
Gee those machines will never make the journey they are so old
LOL! It’s impossible to shut that operation down without a new one up and running. Look for this brilliant plan to be completed some time in 2025 with a budget overrun in the millions, many millions.
103 and 422 (Heat Treat) buildings are going away
What will happen with the Tempe ATS turbine wheel manufacturing...?
Does anyone have the official announcement letter? Please post.
They have tried to do this for years...dont go quietly into thank night....time for a Wildcat Strike....dont train your replacements...contact your Congressman,Senators, and the press. If you stick together you can slow this process down...I know many of you are near retirement anyway...do it for the others.
