Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Cost cutting richly rewarded by wall street, predicting more cuts in 2021

HON stock above $200, may pull back slightly but its at an all time high and doing far better than its major Airline and PetroChem customers. This means DA strategy of census reduction in North America has paid off and we can expect similar or more aggressive moves in 2021. I am predicting at least 2 SBG's will move their HQ's out of the country in the next two years

The headquarters is and will always be close to the leaders. Why do you think it moved after so long in Jersey?
Low cost is another way of saying untrusted. The only people working those areas will be modern slaves ( harsh i know... but what else do you call someone making one tenth the wage of a person doing same work in cost of living adjusted currency? ) and the poor saps who must serve as their masters. Nothing has changed in a thousand years.
Why would wall street invest in that? Nope. Noce and respectable is how honeywell will stay. Please dont look behind that shell company.

This is a big worry, the new govt wants to expand trade with China,EU and others. Very tempting for DA to shift HQ to a low cost country

Software company does not need a hardware reliability team. Or radiation effects, cad, or the entire mechanical product group.

(ref: CCR "Proud Mary")

RIF'd from a bad job in many cities
Was workin' for EEI ev'ry night and day
Now I never lose one minute of sleepin'
Worryin' 'bout the way PIPs would have been
Big platform keeps on burnin'
DA's cash machine keeps on churnin'
PIP'n, PIP'n, PIP'n in the ranking
Cleared a lot of cubes shrinkin' census
Pumped a lot of pain here inta Morris Plains
But I never saw the good side of my life
'Til I bolted to a new ride workin' with dignity
Big wheels & DA keep on turnin'
Their big bonus's keep on churnin`
RIF'n, RIF'n, RIF'n with the ranking
PIP'n, PIP'n, PIP'n by the ranking
When it comes down to time to deliver
Bet you gonna find some people real eager to leave
You don't have to worry…

The reliability group of 4 at Glendale Space was decimated. The group leader based in Clearwater who had over 30yrs experience was let go in the Sept '19 re-org. Remember the "burning-platform" ? I was let go after 38 yrs in Nov '19 cuz I spoke up at the temp manager who was a Cyber Security managers knowing nothing what we do here. Then my co-worker also 30yrs experience after a few weeks later quit on his own. And a younger co-worker 3 to 4 yrs experience was fired cuz the manager in PR flowed new goals to him he not agreed with in the Perf Dev Plan. I suspect he not going to work the 15% mandated free OT. The remain guy trying to get PR to handle the work load he is overloaded with , however little does he know he is training his replacement.

I keep wondering, can they keep brain draining in Aero, disrespect employees and stay on top? It hurts to think that it’s possible Aero doesn’t matter after all....

Wall Street wants and likes stories. DA gave them some good material last week. Analyst gave a glowing recomendation of Hon as a stock to own for the future based on all the new great things (stories) Honeywell is getting into. They spun it up. It was said sort of that this would more than make up for the decreases in other sectors like Aero. Which likely isn't the case. And WS likes cash and dividends too and Hon has some. So underthe surface they like the RIFs too, but thye don't talk about that. Want the stock to go up don't mess with th dividend or increase it.

The shell game can't last forever. The last round of huge cuts left the company in chaos. Bodies are being thrown at project and problems without the needed skills and experience. It's complete chaos. And now DA and Mad Dog have destroyed the company's ability to deliver products as promised. And the other edge of the sword is that there is nobody left to support those products in the field. On top of all that, they expect that the same amount of work will get done on schedule with less than half the people. Too much crack being smoked by "leaders" starting at the director level and going right to the top of the sh1tpile.
