You would think that at a company with the size and scope of AT&T, there would be some pockets of good news, along with the challenges. There never is though. What hell sort of dysfunctional operation is this place? Asked by a relatively happy, 20 year employee.

You get paid on time every month yet complain no good news. Sounds like good news to me.
It’s not only the telecom industry that goes through these constant layoffs q after q, other industries go through the same kind of constant downsizing. The oil industry, ie., BP, Exxon, the auto industry, airline industry, they all face difficult challenges because the one thing they all have in common are the damn unions! The unions are k–ling corporate America, period! Sure, they served their purpose at one time, but they became way too powerful! Also, exorbitantly high priced CEOs and company presidents has to stop especially when they under perform! They’re ruining corporate America!
Unbelievable, good news is I get paid!!!! Let’s start a really good rumor that Att is buying Amazon and UPS, they got the funds!!
If you are "diverse", it's all good news.
I, in my 37 years, never cared about "good news".
Why do you?
Go to work. Try to run them out of $$$.
You want good news at work? Good luck with that.
Remember they have to pay you to show up.
When you get some time in you'll figure it out.
Lol. Pockets of low morale as well. What a joke.
Only thing that matters is paying the bills every month and the dividend every quarter. Everything else is just noise. So be happy they can still make payroll.
3Q was actually pretty good, especially considering the circumstances. Did you miss that?
They took the money and run...
The beatings will continue until morale improves!
No pockets of good news when Ratty and Stinky starved a capital intensive company of future capital.
Want good news? Plenty elsewhere. Like the $5B Ratty gave TMOB helped them move up the list of providers!
