Does Chevron use contractors? What's the possibility of us contractors being offered a job with Chevron or them keeping us as contract employee.

No. Contractors are never used here. Even our cleaning services staff are all full time. And we all get free gas. That’s the biggest perk!
Sure you can. But you need to live in Manila or Buenos Aires. There are tons of CVX IT jobs available. You might even get on full time if you are lucky!
All personnel, both employees and contractors are being reduced to the bone. Don’t count on any new hires anytime soon. ExxonMobil also just announced today, Thursday Oct 29, they intend to reduce personnel even further. It’s not good, folks. I made my career in the oil patch for 30 years. I’ve seen bad times, but this one is terrible and will hurt for some time more.
