@ygd I think "courteous" went out the window when they dragged this out for months trying to enable themselves to be able to say "well, we gave everyone a fair chance by everyone having to reapply for jobs - yes step over your colleagues and fight for your jobs. They may as well have started ImagineIT with the words "Let the games begin - may the odds be ever in your favor".

I'm in IT, just email me. Don't care for face to face contact.

Perhaps it’s ‘cold’ but I’d rather that than waiting for a long time, fearing the worst.

Call the people who didn’t get in, and email or send a teams message to those who were successful with the offer to talk if you need more info. Would he much more effective than this. Some of the job owners have hundreds of positions. It’s going to take a long time to call each of the successful employees.

Sure, they can send an email but its definitely more courteous to receive a call. I mean, some folks dedicate their prime to Chevron, least they can do is to call to inform employees. Its just too cold if you get the notification from an email...

For the people getting called... Who is calling you? Do they leave a message? Do they call your work number? Cell phone?

I agree. This whole thing could been mass-communicated. I'd rather receive an email in either case than a phone call.

I don't care to hear a "congratulations" or a "sorry but..". Just send an email to all those offered and those gone with a FAQ or contact if I have questions. If there are those that don't accept the position and there are "back up" people, then e-mail them afterwards.

Right? We are committed to be agile and efficient but our dumba$$es chose the most manual inefficient time consuming way to contact everyone. Our leaders are so dam stoopid it’s pathetic. But then again, if their stoopid a$$es can make it to the top, there is hope for all of us!

It should have been an automated email.

How is it that we are so focused an automating all of us out of jobs that they are going to call us manually every one of us so that some stew while some don’t. Couldn’t emails from job owners sufficed?
