Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Rack’m &Stack’m & Rate’M

After cutting until there simply aren’t enough people to do the work now I am asked to do an MMR with the same old rules. Not complaining, no point, this is just the way it is for every senior manager out there.. everyone is just a number after all.

Are there any managers who aren’t “senior” these days? They promoted me in one of the reorgs but it feels like that line from Incredibles... if everyone is special, no one is special. Today I feel like a caricature on a stage.

OK, what does MRR stand for? The corporate alphabet soup gives me a headache...

High performers were laid off last couple times. Managers all said they had no idea who/when it happened. Performance means nothing. I thought using the 9 block and PIPs etc was done - takes too long. I keep thinking everyday that email will come for the meeting with HR. In the [past 3 years or so, I have had almost no feedback on performance, just orders for me to execute. Oh and the ocaisional "why isn't this doe yet".

Sounds like an unstoppable spiral downwards.

Lay-off too many people to make Q3 numbers and then lay-off more because you didn’t make the numbers. Q4 miss will be even larger.

They're not waiting for the next MRR. MM already screaming that if Q3 target isn't met (good luck, it's over dude) then he will RIF more people. I'll bet employees are lining up screaming, take me, take me!

Does anyone care about reviews and 9 block. Only thing is whether you get laid off or lot and even if you do that's a win with up to 6 months salary.

Horrible management creating a horrible corporate culture. Management guru's like Drucker and Deming would be spinning in their graves if they ever had to evaluate Honeywell. Yet the game goes on and the stock price keeps going up.

9 block rating with forced distribution after all the cuts and RIFs? Please remind me again how ethical of a company Honeywell is?

Sr Manager means nothing considering there were non senior managers with team sizes over 20 in the last nanager layoff. After a layoff you always "promote" to make those that survive feel extra loyal.

Can’t wait for the force distribution and knowing that the majority of us that are left are high performers or performing multi jobs just to be ready to sh$t on them for that.

good let them go find qualified people.... not as easy as they think when companies that are compassionate, pay well and provide actual benefits are hiring. Ask post Honeywellers how they like their new employer...... Your doing all these poor souls a favor Honeyhell

MMR? MRR, you mean. Yes, it was almost to embarassing from the last MRR done when some managers were showing up high block ratings and was asked what are the plans ahead. Nil cause they got RIF....sad sods. I wonder if certain people will be elbowed to satisfy a statistic this round.
