Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

For those that were laid off......

How does Allstate expect you to perform the same way you have knowing that in two months you will no longer have a job? I’m really sorry for all of those impacted.

I’m seeing a common thread here... and across many of the other forum postings. The dedicated, hard-working, go “above and beyond” employees, were the ones targeted for elimination. Claims adjusters who’ve always skated by doing the bare minimum, they’re safe and sound. It’s remarkable. I’m completely bought in to the “do just enough not to get fired” philosophy while I find employment elsewhere

Encouraging “safe” employees to notify management if someone is not responsive, working etc. was communicated today. Snitch culture is just plain toxic

Yeah, I dont know where @aqh+175ORWOD is getting their info cause I was told in August I'm being laid off and will be getting my notice with everyone else in claims next week. Im still expected to work erry day till the end of my 60th day... but yeah as far as performance goes, I've been doing bare minimum. No more logining in early or staying late. I'm expected to complete x amount of work in a day and that is exactly as much as I'm doing, no more no less. But yeah, don't get fired before you get laid off. I'm sure they will be extra nitpicky now so the dont have to pay severance

It is incorrect that your last day is the day you get your notice. We have already had our announcements and people are still working and will continue to do so until the end of October.

You don’t work 60 days. You finish work on the day you are laid off. You have 60 days paid leave essentially where you can apply for other internal roles. Your logins etc are disabled within a few hours of your meeting.

Try,although it’s going to be hard, to do what you can to NOT give them a reason to fire you and take away your severance package.

I’m NOT going to perform the same way. They’re out of their God damn minds if they think I’ll continue to go above and beyond.
