Not just level 1 stores. Seems to be mostly on location

Typical post containing not even the slightest detail to support the statement or any hint where in this massive company this is going to happen. And what follows a post like this is more of the same. If I was an outsider reading this site I would wonder what the makeup of the company is but would quickly realize by the low number of views the posts get it is the same 600 people posting the same comments each time.

It is unfortunate we cannot use the site in a way that helps people get real information.

this insanity at all big companies will never end until executive bonuses stop being paid for cutting expenses - whats the biggest expenses - PEOPLE - notice not resources - PEOPLE

Newsflash - big companies don't need 100 m a year executives to do 4th grade math problems

How about if the same executives that have been running the ship for 20 years take a cut ?

Another "massive"? When was the first "massive"? Who was president then? Bush? Roosevelt?

T could easily reduce headcount simply by asking both occupational as well as management if he/she would be willing to leave if offered a severance package. Unfortunately, T would rather put people on the street that still want to work without a choice in the matter which is cold and heartless! I know people that have actually said they’re ready to leave, but are waiting for a package that may never be offered.

I would think they still need to carve heavily on the management side, and not as much on union/retail

Is anyone other than retail being targeted? “Cuts” is very vague.

Of course there is because it’s Octoberfest next month which T celebrates every year with massive layoffs throughout the Co.!

So what’s the target for retail closings? Level 1 stores?

Yes. The workforce planning meetings are already pointing to another 15% cut in Retail.
