AT&T piled on last week with a filing where it said the combination of Sprint and T-Mobile has resulted in an “unprecedented concentration of spectrum in the hands of one carrier.”
It isn't an issue of money. It's an issue of, after the merger of Sprint and T-Mobile, there is now a concentration of ownership by one carrier of mid-spectrum. AT&T filing in support of the Verizon petition simply seeks an explanation from the FCC as to why this "spectrum screen" criteria isn't being applied.
