Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

only carrier at sams

was at sams today and walked by mobile phones and noticed all they got is prices with att. lady asked me who my carrier was and I said not att and asked if that is all they have is att as a carrier now. she said yep. that is just about att's speed. just buy your way to being a monopoly. more att nwo cesspool thinking. too bad it will cost sam some business. wonder how much that cost to be the only carrier at sams. i am sure that will help pay down the debt. mo–ns can't compete.

“lol.......good for AT&T! Really sad if you are an active or retired employee and are bad-mouthing the fact we did an exclusive deal with Wally’s. But it’s all about you.” What is really sad is att employees and retirees think this is a good thing and just don’t get it. Clueless and you wonder why people like stank and rand become ceo. There is no such thing as too big to fail. If you think there is you are delusional. Att deserves stank.

So foot traffic in a location that people are going to for spending money instead of browsing or window shopping is a bad thing?

I promise you that customers shopping for phones at BJ’s are not the same customers shopping at actual AT&T stores. If that were the case COR stores would’ve never existed to begin with. Back in the days of 2yr contracts national retailers would regularly sell phones for free that COR would charge $99+ for. COR and AR have seen massive increase in store numbers recently, but there are places that stores no longer had enough traffic to remain open. This is more of a shift in customer shopping habits moving online.

Someone asked what’s the point, the best answer I have is T wants to increase distribution in large places where many people shop, in order to continue to close down COR stores without losing the customer base in that area. I see it with BJs where I live. They got a ton of business and T closed down 2 stores in the area. There were also many AR in the area, the company is moving that way as well..no news there, especially if you’re in Retail and don’t have your head in the sand. No offense to the retail workers, I was one, but most say “they need us! They’ll never sell or close us down “. I had to laugh at the ignorance. We shall see....

Ed Whitaker putt ATT into an exclusive deal with Apple I phone back in 2007 , made a bucket full of money .Then Randall came along around 2010 and set into motion his 10 year plan of greatness, where everyone in the company will be let go if they are not RELEVANT !!!

@1knl+171G8SP3 still att old monopoly thinking. and no if vz or tmus did this I would still criticize the predatory deal. anybody at att thinks these kinds of deals will solve the problem is delusional. this is the problem and will never help in the long run. the iphone exclusive deal didn't help in the long run and so cesspool nwo att will just continue doing the same thing thinking it will solve all their problems. But please keep doing deals like this by all means. you think this will help the company in the long you are part of the problem. mo–ns

If VZ or TMUS pulled this off, you'd be praising them. Don't put your hate on such obvious display.
