This won’t address the real attendance issues in stores which is managers fixing the time sheets for their buddies.

That's a pretty good policy. Honestly if you cannot be to work on time or back from lunch on time or show up to work when you are scheduled then you should be let go. And that policy gives a LOT of chances before any consequences.

When I hired on in a non-located Constuction gang, You were not late more than once. And, you got your butt royally chewed out by the foreman the first time you were one minute late. The second time you were sent back to the hotel without pay for that day. Tardiness was not a problem in the legacy T construction gangs. If you were late, you held up the splicing or tower kit truck heading out for the day’s work.

this new system will be so nice. It's kinda lame if you can't show up to work on time on a regular basis. If you can't..... go to burger king and have it your way, and don't let the door hit you on the way out. I am sick and tired of these millennial fng's that cannot seem to get a grip and show up to work on time. What the chuck ?

So fo those not in the know, your24 is the new attendance policy. Instead of giving points for lateness or absense they coverted it to "hours" to what i think was their attempt to make it easier but kinda confusing. It is definitly better in ways and much worse in some ways than previous policy and i think a LOT faster to get someone fired for attendence depending on how you look at it..

You get "24 hours" of being late or absense before you get written up, with a total of 38 hours before you get fired. Hours/Points last 6 months before they expire, before it was 12 months. Current points people have get converted to hours (Multiply them by 4) and still expire at their original date (12 months)

Grace period of being late increased from 5 to 10 min at start of shift. 5 min grace period now on return from breaks. However I believe now points are auto if returning from lunch late. So no more extended lunches and no points. Before a manager had to manually add them, now i think it's automatic. Don't quote me on that, but it seems so.

Anything over 10 min at start of shift is 2 hours. Anything after 2 hours is it's current hour and rounded up.
So 45 min late = 2 hours
2 hours and 30 min late = 3 hours
4 hours and 5 min late = 5 hours
Full day are the amount of hours for that shift

If you call out multiple days in a row, it's the full shift and 1/2 of the following time.
So 2 days would be 8 hours + 4 hours, assuming both shifts are 8 hours. This is if the days are in a row.

System seems to be better for people that are never late and are part time, but if you are full time, and late or call out monthly at least 1 day, you are pretty much gone withing 6 months now. For a full time it's about 5 days of calling out and you are fired. That's 1 day a month or partial days and a few scattered call outs.

Silver lining is 6 months is a lot better than 12 that it was...Granted you had 8 points before you got clipped, 12 months before points went away was crazy IMO.

management are completely rude and unprofessional if you are not a part of the 80% brown noser community at AT&T or part of their clique. Just before being let go, I was transferred from one client to another and barely made it out of training before I was let go under the old client due to "lack of work"
