If you don't want white masters, you can always go to Reliance for brown master, Chinese petroleum for east asian master, Aramco for Arab master or Nigerian oil corp for black master. Pick your poison!

Quiet quitting and PIPs, with the increased threat of PIPs that don't even offer severance as a safety net, are people still quiet quitting or is everybody back to doing everything that's asked of them for as long as it takes to finish it? I have been quiet quitting for months but I have to admit, the latest developments do make me nervous.
I agree with some of the comments regarding the existing people still working in EM now.
If really not happy, just leave! By the way, i have already left 🤣🤣🤣 I was being PiP twice!!!! Why, because i don’t know how to curry favour my SLS. My other colleagues in the same team, i dare to said i am better than them, but they know how to sweet talk. So i’m always on the losing end
Also i do think, those keep complaining, but not leaving, actually your hands are tied. Cause u need the salary provided by EM, it should be quite good, and maybe hard to match by other companies.
My mental health is more important than the pay. Thou not drawing as much as my EM pay, but confirm i am happily and not so stress.
My current IT job is stressful, but i’m only stressing about the job, not stressing about how to sweet talk or act like i’m trying to value add in some stupid ways 🤣🤣🤣

haha the news is on all social media platforms, Exxon has made record high profit. many of my friend were asking me how much bonus I got, I told them not much, 3 months as usual, they were surprised because they all know this will make employees feel detatched.
But let's bear in mind, good or bad, company never layoff anyone, always gives you 3 month bonus, that is already very generous. They do not do layoff because they will have to pay severance package, instead you will get PIP. Well done, white masters, we all work as slaves for you, because slaves don't deserve respect.

EM earns 59 billion profit in 2022. We don’t expect 120 months bonus, but inflation is high, housing rental increases 35%. Food , air tickets, accommodation are expensive.We want more salary increments, more bonus. We don’t need birthday wishes from director, snacks in the pantry. No help at all.

If you feel it is affecting your mental wellbeing, it is time to leave. No job worth sacrificing your health n benefit of the family. Family, Health are crystal ba--s, once broken, never come back, while work is a rubber ball, it would always bounce back. Think about it seriously.

By the way, I heard some senior manager in SGCX also leaving, there is always a reason.
After some consideration, I decided to leave EM, although EM base pay was slightly higher and give you fix bonus. But you need to work like a dog and tahan all the toxic culture and environment. In the long-term perspective are not worth it, is basically not worth it. Yes it gives you stability because they will make sure you are spending your life working away.
So you need to ask yourself, you are working to live ? or you are living to work?
if you are living to work you can continue to stay in EM. It will be the best company!!!

The company has two classes, master and slave. If you are SLT and above, you are from master group with amazing salary package, stock units and you will be well protected regardless of billion dollars mistakes you made.
Does master care you? He-l no!!! The core interest is share holder value and share price. Showing empathy and care is not in master’s blood.
In bad time or during pandemic, other companies care about employees’ welfare and support with allowances for working home arrangements but EM introduced PIP for employees with reason of unprecedented time.
Employees sacrificed and work overload due to resources constraints. When business is good, is there any additional bonus like other O&G companies? Nah, $50B stock buy back and stock award for master class.
EM masters will continue with TMTS and MT implementation to cut headcount. I only hope EM has some dignity and retrench people with proper severance pay instead of forcing people with PIP.

Hope TA team will appreciate and respect people come to support from other units. After event, TA team can declare success and back to normal work pace. But the base people will have to go back own unit to clear backlog and deal with daily plant issues.
TA planner who planned the jobs for months please also has the ownership and share the responsibilities.

the thing is... they don't care. Their current role is just a stepping stone to commercial. They have no sense of what or the people under them are doing. The only solution they have is talk to them to drop items, work with the experts or seniors to hone your technical skill or just talk and talk and talk.
End of the day, they are just there for 3 to 5 years and they will move on and thank you for being their stepping stone.
High flyers never saw real incidents, talking only on paper.
When things really happen, all ba--s drop amd donno what to do.
That is current and to-be management. You wanna bet your life with this type of people who make risk decisions? I say no, out I go soon.

Ppl just wanting to leave badly. We lost so many highly capable employees, SLS, RL and Lead positions. Something Mgt can’t help and by giving us $0.6k to help them find ppl coz of their failure? Please…. unless you’re quoting $6k or higher. Even headhunters are being paid $10-30k ranges for each employee. I might be the next in line, stay tune.
