This is the reason why they say treat company's money like your own money. More money on hand then it looks good on financial report to attract more investors. More money on hand also means more dividends for people who own the shares. And most people who own the company shares are those people who hold the money. It is a loop.

They just don't tell you why but this is the reason.

Hopefully, they will not delay the year-end bonus as well lol... It is quite disheartening what they did to the performance bones for the ground staff, they always wait until the last min give out half, then need to keep fighting until don't know when they give the other parts of the bonus...

On top of the toxic culture need to bear now this inconsistent of bonus also need to bear with it as well...

Please farm hard and well, this will be the last lap of harvest... Telltale signs have already surfaced, this field has become too toxic for any healthy crops to grow.

Farm well and think of growing healthy crops at other plot land fields. It is foolish to think that the current field will turn healthy again.

Don't be stupid leh!!! whether the company made money or not, they will find an excuse to stop the money flowing into your pocket... One thing is for sure, whether the company made money or not, It will only go into Mr Woody pocket hahas!!!

If you want to work hard, sure you can go ahead, you can even chiong at full speed without breakpad. No one will stop you... (and no one will laugh at you or call you stupid as well)

But you also cannot stop a farmer from farming.. Farmers also need to put in some work one leh. Needs to build scarecrows to ward off smart alec..

Everyone just wanna earn a living. where have nice grass, we will go there and prepare the field and throw the seed in... that is all.

Exxon doesn't owe us anything, we don't owe Exxon anything as well. How well Exxon treats us is how well we treat Exxon as well...

what a stupid suggestion on farming and then expect the company will not get sell off. the more farming you do the more the probability sg will get sold off. exxon employees so called smart but damn stupid leh. do nothing, the more the company will not make money leh. stupid is it? you farm also the company can’t give you much. you think you so clever ah want to farm farm. id--t people leh. just quit and farm elsewhere.

Every day just go to work with a farming mindset, every single day of farming counts.. Also don't know how long this company can survive, don't know how many more studies will come in the future... There will be a point of time , the studies will come to justify whether to keep the site or not ..

That is when the farming money can be used... Your life will be happily ever after!!!

Before your happy life comes, make sure do as little as possible, don't listen to your superior need to improve what kind of are needed... Dont care about promotion as well remember, you are going in with a farming mindset, not growth

During the covid days, it is quite sick and sian to answer this type of question..

My ex-manager / DH before he starts a meeting he would always ask, "What could you offer to this world-class company ?" I still remember the faces of my colleagues and the way they answered this question out of fear. For me, I also follow the same path as my colleagues answered the question out of fear and gave the standard answer...

The question that exxon management ask is always the same, they always ask the powerless what they can do for the company, it is not WE it is always you...

But let's face the fact, what can an individual ground staff do to improve or save the company?

It is not doom day la if you decide to leave Exxon. Looking at how Darren does things, he will get his increment no matter what happens, sad to say those on the ground, work until they die also might not get...

Scenario 1 If the effort you put in to improve stuff is recognized by your boss consistently, I am very happy for you! Because your boss really appreciated the work that you had done, and please stay it is hard to get such a boss..

Scenario 2 For those who put in the effort to improve the system and your boss say "YOU ARE JUST DOING NORMAL ROUTINE STUFF or YOU NEED TO DO MORE, LOOK AT ABC HE /SHE DOES THIS AND THAT" then I think is time to look outside else where liao..

It can be your boss is not competent enough to see the amount of effort you put in to get things done or it is just not enough for them...

if you belong to Scenario 2 . while chasing that endlessly enough, let's remind ourselves that life is short. When we sacrifice, we put our family aside and put in the amount of hard work just to make everything better, but all you get is nonsense, who will be there for you? if you work until you fall sick who cares? or you work until you burnout you think your boss will say "GOOD WORK THIS YEAR YOU WILL GET A"???

When you wake up every single day going to work and listen to the stupid speech that EXXON is not making any money but Woody salary kept increasing?? Stupid 'ONE TEAM' slogan?

why wanna waste your precious time there?? Does it do any good to you?? remember times flys, a second you spend in Exxon these are the times you cannot get back..
