With interest rates at or near record lows, you would think or genius leadership could figure out how to pay a lot of people to leave at the same time.
I plan on milking this cow for as long as it lasts! Where else can you get “money for nothing and your chicks for free!” LOL!

Same in my district, T keeps hiring more technicians with the expectation that more work is coming. With the Covid pandemic, that reality couldn’t be further from the truth. Consequently, technicians are busy only around 40-50% of the week with no surplus in site!
Nothing to do and getting paid?

I'd try to get in some OT as well.
Their rules...use them to profit.
Big legacy organization , there will always be lots of folks with little work roles... Realistically because of all the management layers the folks at the top don't have a real understanding of the work at the lower levels. And frankly most don't care because at the executive level your chasing short time Wall St. Gains, so when they exit it 2,3,5 years they have a healthy parachute.
Lol this post speaks volumes about this cesspool att. But let’s keep hiring new people to do work the people we have can do. What a must managed company no wonder it is such a dumpster fire. But hey you have the great stank and that is the most important.
