I know this is not lay-off related.
Retail stores are practically begging customers for Google reviews. There is even a daily quota. And guess what reps are calling. Friends to get them to give good reviews.

There are already so many negative reviews about AT&T out there that it's far too late now. AT&T has itself to thank for it. Had they not had a holier-than-thou attitude and cared about customers it might have been different. AT&T thought they were the only game in town, but are suddenly realizing they're not and the previously burnt customers are backlashing.
Glassdoor is a joke
HR asked new hires to flood Glassdoor with positive reviews about a year ago, so I’m not surprised.
I am shocked, I tell you. The suggestion that retail folks need to resort to sketchy tactics to avoid discipline from a completely unethical company completely amazes me.
