Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Whoever Remains

We have learned a valuable lesson. Get in touch with your local chapter of the insurance adjuster association and get going on a Claim adjuster Union. Problem is, it all starts out well but then when it comes to cuts that must be made, they do it a very cut throat manipulative way. It is.not necessary to give senseless assessments only to further mislead groups in order to make them quit before they can collect severance. Its hard to imagine a company you loved could be so crafty and sly. A Union can’t do anything for us to avoid closures but at least we could negotiate how we are treated in the process.

A union is possible. It will take support from the adjuster community within Allstate and outside of Allstate. These insurance companies are notorious for raunchy tactics at lay off time. That is Part of the Draconian nature of ALL insurance companies. They are led by borderline criminals. Time for David to slue Goliath. Those that are left should pursue it and band together with other adjusters to at least lessen the pain of having no voice and no options as this process has shown.

Allstate is 1000% anti-Union and for obvious reasons. They would have to treat employees humanely and would be held accountable for their unethical and disgusting behavior. That being said they have and will squash any and all attempts to unionize before it even comes close to getting off the ground even if it means "scorched earth" for buildings and departments that even think of unionizing. It will be futile.
