We need to acknowledge that as long as we rent our knowledge and time to this big corporations we are really wasting valuable time. Here is a crazy suggestion, instead of using our severance pay to pay bills while looking for a job start working on creating your own business. It's hard but it will be worth it. You could be a contractor for them, you get more money and tax benefits that will compensate for your expenses. So you are a claims adjuster, now you could be an independent adjuster, how about changing careers, you could be a financial advisor or a real estate agent, flip houses, start your business on something you love and enjoy. Then you will look back and feel that your better days are ahead of you. We should pray for those of us that will stay behind, imagine how hard it will be to carry the load of thousands of people that get layoff, plus living with the uncertainty that it could happen to you anytime. I know so many business owners that are working hard like us, but it's for their company. Just take a chance, plan your future, stop renting your talent.

I hope people seriously consider this idea. Do what this big corporations do, invest in real estate, if you live in a city where you are encouraged to invest in low income neighborhoods, then buy a house or 2 at a reasonable price and rent it or sale it. Rental income is passive income, you will be able to deduct all expenses and depreciate the property and its contents, I do taxes, trust me it's a great investment. We are going to be ok 👌 ❤ 🙏 👍
Choose your business carefully, I know several business owners that are close to throwing in the towel due to everything going on right now.
