I’d say Allstate is in compliance here. Why do I keep seeing this thrown around on this forum like it offers legal option?
The WARN (Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification) Act requires businesses who employ over 100 workers to either give their employees 60 days’ notice in writing of a mass layoff or plant closing, or to pay the employees if they fail to give the notice.
The WARN Act requires advance notice of loss of employment so workers have time to look for another job or receive training in another occupation.
Allstate is doing all of this. Am I missing something?

Def not a home office person. It was a genuine question. I kept seeing mention of WARN and when I researched it I was not seeing anything that wasn’t being done.
There is a comment here that does make sense. The notion that Allstate is being transparent and going above and beyond when this is actually a federal mandate. That makes sense. Thanks for the perspective, instead of just assuming I’m some conspiracy mole from corporate lol
That must be someone from HR that is trying to ease the tension. The problem is for us this is personal, it's not business. You can seat in the 8th floor of the F tower doing head counts while we are at the bottom cleaning up your mess. So many years of dedication and you have a bunch of greedy executives trying to get more money in their pocket. I guess Allstate won't make it to 100, you are destroying the foundation
I think the slap in the face is that the 60 day notice and worker “training” are being packaged to workers as a kind hearted, above and beyond gesture offered by the company. NO these things are REQUIRED by LAW as stated by the OP. If you want to treat us like “family” and handle this the “right way” STOP DOING THE BARE MINIMUM. Stop pissing on my leg and tell me it’s raining!
Hello, home office shill. do you resent the fact that you wouldn't have to post here if Allstate was transparent about what they're doing and weren't laying people off in the middle of a pandemic so the corporate officers can pocket a couple more dollars?
doesn't matter. shoo shoo, shill. shoo shoo
They are complying.....in the greyest of grey areas however.
