If they have positions open in claims then why are they laying off LDU adjusters ?

I was told if you apply for another position, they offer the position to you and you decline it then you do not get severance. So, if you apply for another position you better make sure you want it.
This was actually described as a "fat trimmer" in terms of getting better cost per unit. Lay off employees, post the same positions for hire at lower bands, re-hire employees back making less for doing the same job that they were laid off from.
"You're in Good Hands"
You claims folks are the hardest working most customer centric ones we got.
Good luck to all of you..you deserve better.
I guess they get around it because this is a new job. I was told salary does not go with you... you maybe were already a field adjuster and experienced in estimates
I transferred to VA as a CL6, still a CL6. No change in band or salary.
It’s my understanding that your salary and does not transfer with you.. so if you are a 6 in auto and go to VA I believe the highest job available was a and 3? You don’t keep your salary
The person who complained about claims adjuster is clearly a troll. I have to wear so many hats my head spins from the minute I sit down till when I leave. I have to field questions on auto damage and total loss (because now total loss is handled in India). I have to be on the phone with someone for an hour and half for what would be a normally 20 minute call but I need to explain to her for an hour why when you rear end someone you are at fault. I had to explain to an agent how collision coverage works last week: an agent who sells insurance policies!
VA wind/hail and VA water in my office have adjusters as high as CL6, with CL7 being the highest band before CSL level. We have auto adjusters transitioning over to VA property with no qualifications other than working for Allstate, so get those jobs before they are gone. No qualifications needed.
LDU Adjuster. You a lie we are underpaid and overworked. Thats why I am looking. If I am picked to stay, I am still hopping ship. All this work we have to do and then you laying off and the other Adjusters arw left with the work. No thank you. I am over Allstate.
also, these are higher banded positions
Because these claims positions are areas where there is a need for more staff. Most other areas are over staffed, hence the need for reductions.90
Claims adjusters are overpaid and unproductive????? How about f— you
Virtual assist adjuster
What is VA...I’m not familiar with that term. Thanks
Assessment is broken : people who promoted into leader roles & senior leader roles after getting a BTE raiting in their prior role have a better Chance than leadership that may have been Rated expected . How is the raitings of a less demanding role equal to that of a more demanding role ?
Wouldnt mind applying for VA....but no qualifications. Oh well
It's probably true. If you find Candy Crush difficult, you're not exactly the brightest star in the sky.
It means that claims people are so overpaid and relatively unproductive that the company has determined it's cheaper to take on the enormous overhead of hiring and training new people on modern process than to keep the dinosaurs who can't embrace change around. These assessments, as useless as they seem, say a lot about the ability of your brain to still pick up new things.
They are primarily va and property... if I wasn’t a higher band I’d go for a va job
Has any LDU gotten a notice?
Because the positions are more than 10% lower pay rate than those being laid off so they cannot lift and shift into those positions. But one can apply and for go their severance if they feel so inclined and enjoy the stress and headache of Allstate at lower compensation.
