Hour cuts. Visits. No staff to put out freight. Messy store. No staff to clean it or prepare for said visits. But of course it has to be perfect. Not even enough hours to run the store properly. And it's hot. Very hot. When will it end? Oh and hours are getting cut more. Again.

I don’t Understand most of these comments. If you don’t want to do what is asked to help the business, find something else to do. Where there’s a will, there’s a way. If you don’t have the passion and the will, then quit.
Private companies can choose to not disclose to the public what's going on until they do it. If they have any shareholders they are private, meaning no transparency requirements like publicly traded companies have.
they are visiting stores to decide what store to close.
I have no idea why. Our store is having 2 visits!
What is corporate visiting a store with no stock and no staff?
"And your email is..?"
To which I would reply, "Private and none of your business."
"I wouldn’t be surprised if we show up at work and the doors are locked with a sign saying belk has “ceased operations” because this is as bad as retail can get."
When that happens, just know that you will be officially notified retroactively at least a week later via pdf piped through WorkDay.
Almost all management are practically just online shoppers. They have little time for actual "management".
So true! In all my years in retail I have never seen such a poorly run business. Customers are mad because you can't help them because your on a register with a long line. Managers want you to do 5 things at a time. Don't forget to get those emails. I rang up the same Customer three times yesterday. Does that mean I need to get their email three times.
Wow.
I wouldn’t be surprised if we show up at work and the doors are locked with a sign saying belk has “ceased operations” because this is as bad as retail can get.
