This is the new phrase that has been used a couple times now re: those recently shown the door (immediately after the ubiquitous "this is the hardest thing we have to do" line). I wonder how much time Mr. Mair is spending on the phone with these folks daily, you know, just checking in on them?

When my L3, who hadn't said two sentences to me in the 6 months I worked in his organization, called to read me the script, he seemed disappointed I wasn't grateful for his offer of "if there is anything we can do". What exactly could they do? Take it back? He kept his job, he took mine. Thank you, sir, may I have another?
Not only will they not give you a reference or accept you on Linkedin, but their profile is full of recs from their private little circle jerk club.
Truth is your manager probably sold you up the river in order to save their soul and keep paying for their kids' private school.
They cannot forget you fast enough! Could not even get my VP to accept my request on LinkedIn.
Don’t kid yourself, once declared, you are invisible and dead to them. They’ll only check in if you get behind on your required exit paperwork.
“When the phone doesn’t ring, you’ll know it’s me...”
This is in relation to people recently "surplused"? If so, I have heard from no one.
You're not shown the door, it's more like you are flushed down the toilet while they try to make it sounds like they are the ones suffering by staying behind.
hahahahaha...yea...your ex "team" really wants to hear from you. Management is sofa king stupid.
Do you really need to ask? They all moved to T-mo, how is this even a question??? That is the first thing they did, even before doing the all the exiting paperwork.
