@1spw, they are cutting that many because they have combined two content organizations into one.
In an interview with Deadline.com, Kilar explains this and says that since their is now one position where there used to be two, one person has to go, and he again apologizes.
The Wallstreet Journal is also reporting that WM will let over 500 employees go, beginning today, based on insider information.
WarnerMedia is one of the best investments AT&T has done. I can't see them cutting that many. That division is very profitable, as the games division owns Fortnite, a large stake in Roblox, and the Gran Tourismo franchise.
