A flurry of interns and new associates posting on LinkedIn about how great WF is. Do you think HR asks them to do this? If so, what’s the point?

Wells Fargo wants to get rid of robot employees who aren't innovative thinkers bringing no value.
Yet Wells Fargo is fine with recruiting puppets who will just do what they say, including robotically posting on LinkedIn.
So much for independent thinking.

You get what you pay for. No substantive, revolutionary change is being made to turn Wells Fargo around.
yea this place is a criminal network; I would suggest disassociating yourself with the criminal network.
They are highly toxic due to the fact no other company would hire them.
The whole linkedin thing is weird. Over the past year or more I've seen a ton of postings from people about how long they've been there etc. Then there have also been postings from sr. leaders (like Saul DRs) on the "latest new shiny object" followed by a dozen hashtags. But it's posting about things like meetings they've had and who was there, etc. It's weird to have sr leaders talk publicly about internal meetings etc.
I can only guess that it's for recruiting purposes. Except, we can't execute worth sh–. Why anybody from a fintech or tech company would want to work at Wells is a mystery. Many decisions are made based on politics by people who are stuck in old thinking with stuff that won't work. And they'll take that same c-ap and implement it in the worst possible way. Then you also get a bunch of new people that come in with more off the wall stuff that's 1/2 a$$ed point solutions.
I get requests from the Wells Fargo PAC to join and donate.
After losing a bhutload on my house after 2008 thanks to banks being sleazy, I find these requests a might bit ignorant.
Why would anyone help a bank be a bank after the last 12 years?
If you're seeing a lot of activity on social about how great Wells is you can assume it's paid for one way or another.
The sleaze never ends here and I can't wait to bail.
I just checked out WF jobs on LinkedIn. Over 1,100 OUS postings...mostly in Manila. WOW! A lot of BSCs, so that’s an easily centralized position. Over 900 US postings, most of which are mortgage positions. Almost all other jobs are located in hubs with a few sprinkled here and there. I know most of my team and I are on the chopping block. Just do it already and let us move on to a company that might actually value us.
They hire the unskilled workers to pay them close to nothing and claim they have US employees. They are making what their counterpart in India is making, pretty much nothing. Of course India has a much lower cost of living.
This is just another step to introduce communism to the country played out be the corporate greed.
Pathetic and inauthentic, just like the rest of the company.

To deflect people’s attention that they are laying off 80,000 people. People know the truth. All my extended relatives know what Wells Fargo is doing. There PR is not fooling Most Americans.
I have noticed that as well. I assume that HR has asked them to do it, and the Social Media team is instructed to respond with a "Welcome" message for wider viewing. It is nothing more than a PR move which many companies follow.
