At what point does DTV have to start paying programmers more $$ due to customer base declines?

That is more than 10 thousand (10,661) disconnect for AT&T-TV every day in the last 365 days.

Imagine yourself, day after day in the last 365 days, there are 10 thousand customers (our AT&T valuable customers) calling our consumer call centers daily, and our service rep are unable to retain them due to our leadership's strange no-retention/lack-promotion policy, quarter after quarter.

Remember the consumer wireline base, it shrank around 15%/year (due to cell phone replacement) in the last 10 years, and you may not easily find its subscription number in AT&T 6/30/20 Qtr Rpt. With AT&T-TV 18%/year shrink rate (if not accelerated), if you do the math, it will shrink from 17.7M to 2.4M in 10 years, and become an insignificant revenue source in the Qtr Rpt, just like the consumer wireline.

Of course the T-s—ers who occasionally stop by will try and tell you that the huge DTV exodus isn't the fault of T, it's just the way things are.

Nevermind that since T acquired DTV the rate of cancellations has increased every year, or that NPS fell from a pre-merger level of nearly 30 to a 9 as of this year.

None of that is the fault of T management! It's just how horrible DTV is.

Tholes never seem to be able to accept responsibility for their incompetence.

Not to mention that T mobile now announced they are the 2nd largest carrier behind Verizon pushing T into 3rd place! What the hell is really going on that we aren’t being told!!

AT&T thought its brand was strong enough that if it raised prices when contract terms for DirecTV customers came to end, customers still remain with DirectTV. Instead many customers are upset and left. Add to that, destroying one of the best customer service teans in TV industry by moving most to India, and there you go. If that was not enough, they thought they do streaming at less cost than regular DirecTV customers, and more losses of traditional satellite customers who later left the streaming service when its price was raised and name changed. You can't make this sh** up. Meanwhile, Randall distanced himself from daily operations and let id–ts Stankey and Donovan destroy DirecTV. All three of them should be sued for destroying shareholder value in this company with pure ignorance and negligence.
