if your over 30, you might not have a choice. Like those in their 40s, 50s, 60s. no where to go...and just hoping to collect a paycheck. their careers well tell the family, embellish a lot like you've done something.

man what is going on at this company I am getting former co-workers contacting me for references and recommendations. must of really hit a lot of people this time. I left in my 50's and could not be happier. keep your skills up and your age does not matter. I just always chose to stay on the engineering side of things and stayed away from team lead/management or project management.
sorry to hear about all this mess but I will help out people as much as I can when they contact me. anybody thinking of joining the cesspool please run far far far far away. don't even think about it att is a rotting company. been to two fortune 500 companies since I left and they are complete opposite of the cesspool att.
I certainly could not recommend anyone I know to actively pursue a career at AT&T . A job to tied you over until you find something better...go for it. I seen three talented guys in their 30’s leave for greener pastures-they are so much better off now than I am. I’m 50 and going down with the titanic.
Retired from ATT and life is pretty darn good outside the bubble. OP? You sound like a miserable, ill-informed drunk. You usually get out of life what you give.
